Screen of “MY NAME IS WASKY” in The International Institute of Social Studies and the African Commitee

The International Institute of Social Studies and the African Commitee  welcome  “My name is Wasky” on the 6th of July at 19:00 pm.
 After the screening, we will dialogue with one of the Co-Directors Stefania Bortolotti on the theme Migration and Cinema- can participatory Cinema be a tool for Social Justice?

A brief synopsis: The film is a product of a participatory  workshop of  digital cinema and story telling, “Sociocinema” which held since 2009 by Razi and Soheila Mohebi in base of visual anthropology, sociology and social physiologic methods.

“My name is Wasky”, tells a story of one boy-rapper and Ghanaian asylum seeker living in Italy since 2015.

The film highlights the events, difficulties and strengths which define and animate his existence. How his past experiences, present friendships links with the bureaucracy of daily life.
